Itinerary

Day 1Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Begin your 5-day Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari with a pick-up from your hotel in Kampala, Entebbe International Airport, or a designated location within Kampala City at 8:00 am. Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara-Kabale road. Enjoy a stop for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre in Mbarara. Continue to Bwindi, arriving at Buhoma Haven Lodge. Freshen up, have dinner, and spend the night.

Day 2Gorilla Trekking & Community Tour

Rise at 5:30 am, have breakfast, and pack a lunch provided by your lodge. Meet your driver for a briefing before embarking on the gorilla trek. A trained ranger will guide you through the forest to find a habituated gorilla family. Spend up to one hour observing these primates in their natural habitat. After trekking, return to the lodge, freshen up, and visit the Batwa community who are the shortest people in Uganda, for cultural encounters. Enjoy traditional entertainment like singing and dancing, before dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven Lodge.

Day 3Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, check out and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, your driver will provide information about the park. Check in at Park View Hotel, have lunch, and relax. In the afternoon, embark on a tree climbing lions experience in the Ishasha sector. Later, enjoy an evening game drive in Kasenyi Plains, spotting wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4Morning Game Drive & Evening Boat Cruise

Wake up early for a morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains, observing wildlife in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, buffalo, elephants, and other animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer Back to Kampala/Entebbe

Begin the day with breakfast, then prepare for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. A guide will lead you through the gorge to observe these primates. After trekking, return to the lodge, check out, and depart for Kampala. Optionally, explore Kampala’s streets and markets before returning to your lodge in the evening.

Booking a Safari usually has accommodation pre provided, so there is no need of pre/post booking your accommodation. In rare cases, clients want to upgrade to a different kind of accommodation and thats fine as lon as you are available at the time of the tour.
